CARRIER 15 KW Undermount Gensets, Carrier Underslung Diesel Gensets, 15 KW powerpacs, air cooled, low hours, designed for quick fitting to nearly all standard ISO chassis trailers. Units are self contained with an integral 50 U.S. gallon (189 liter) fuel tank combined with the engine, generator, battery and all operating controls.
An underslung genset is placed under the chassis of a truck. From this position the generator set provides the reefer unit of a container of electricity continuously.
An underslung generator set is an ideal solution when chilled products must be transported on a trailer on a regular bases. By mounting the generator set on the trailer, only the container needs to be swapped. The generator set can remain in its position on the chassis for future use. Technically, this generator set is similar to a clip-on genset, only the method of mounting is different.
